Hello darlings, I hope you are well. As 2021 comes to a close, it is so important to plan and manifest your aspirations for the new year. I’m personally not an advocate for ‘resolutions’ but rather, I prefer to envision all the things I want to do and achieve.
This year I decided to make a couple of vision boards which not only look pretty as my lock screen but also correspond with my dreams for twenty twenty-two.
In my first board, I have images of Paris for my trip in the summer, pointe shoes/ballerina to inspire me to improve my pointe technique and also for when I see Swan Lake with my best friend, vintage dresses because I want to continue building my collection and hopefully buy one for my graduation dress, I also have an image of literature/a dressing-table as a hint towards my dissertation topic and preparing for my Masters degree and of course, I have an image of Audrey – this one is from War and Peace, and I chose this one specifically because I want to have more events in the evening to get dressed up to – even if that can’t be an eighteenth-century regency ball.
In my second one, I have added some more eighteenth-century images to inspire my research interests academically, the Miss Dior Cherie campaign because it is my favourite and I want to re-recreate it when I go to Paris, Nina’s Marie Antoinette tea room which I’ve been dreaming of, and of course Grace Kelly – whom I always want to mirror, in my style but also behaviour.
