Hello my sweet sugar plums! I hope you are all having a wondrous holiday season so far.. at this time of year, there are always so many wondrous things to do and so, I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite ways to have a magical christmas..
Firstly, I think it is always a lovely idea (whether on Christmas Day itself or throughout the holiday period) to wear a dress that adds a little bit of sparkle! I particularly adore Needle & Thread gowns (particularly at this time of year) because I think they capture evening wear so effortlessly. At the moment I am heart-eyed over their Emilana dress in petal pink which is romantically adorned with delicate florals and intertwined ribbon bow motifs creating a soft, beautifully engineered feel. Signature Needle & Thread styling includes tiered panels throughout the skirt and delicate fluted sleeves. The perfect style for your next special event.
Watching the Nutcracker ballet is an honoured tradition of mine, and I always ensure that I attend a performance each year. There is something so wonderful about gazing at the glittering tutu’s during the Waltz of the Snowflakes, the Sugar Plum Fairy’s pas de deux with her prince and the mesmerising Waltz of the Flowers… This year I’m going to see the Royal Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker and I truly can’t wait! Its going to be all my childhood dreams brought to life.
Baking sugar cookies is an activity I love to partake in throughout the year but especially at Christmas time! There’s something completely irresistible about the scent of freshly baked cookies whirling from the oven… I particularly adore the Peggy Porschen cookie recipe which is my most beloved and which I have created a little template for below.
Decorating your bedroom, assembling the Christmas tree are such important points to getting into the festive spirit and I particularly adore brands such as… for my winter decor.
Wrapping and giving gifts to loved ones is definitely one of my favourite activities during this time of year! There is something so indescribably magic about giving a gift to someone, seeing their eyes light up with joy as they unwrap it and of course, it is very fun to wrap up each item in the prettiest gift wrap, with ribbons!
Finally, it is a little of mine to bake gingerbread cookies or decorate a gingerbread house and I think it can be a lovely idea to do this whilst watching one of your favourite Christmas films or a ballet performance.
I truly hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and I’m sending so much love to you all!
