I thought I would share my favourite ways to feel like a princess at home. I want to send love to all the angels whose wings are broken right now…
Pampering yourself may seem frivolous at this time but it is so important to take of your mind and spirit through little acts of self-care.
Last week I experienced a day where it felt as though everything was going wrong. Although I love creating pretty pink content for you, I must emphasise that this is only a small part of my life…
Nevertheless, I want to make my blog a dreamy pink bubble of fairytale magic that can whisk you away to a world of wonder.
Please remember I’m always here for you and feel free to contact me if you need someone to speak to… ♡
I love filling in the templates on Instagram – they’re great fun and a good distraction. I felt inspired by my angels Catherine, Naje and Freya to make a few of my own!
The first is inspired by my favourite past time, ballet! I thought it would be a lovely idea to do a quiz on which classical ballet role would suit you the most. Just circle or tick which answer best applies to you and share the results! I have also made a similar one for my favourite French Fashion Houses. Please tag me on Instagram as I will re-post your answers on my story…
I have recently felt inspired to make my room the centre of all things cosy. Last spring I re-decorated with the most darling pieces of decor and I believe that this is the perfect opportunity to create the room of your dreams. Whether you decide to de-clutter, re-paint or rearrange – it can be so therapeutic.
Here’s my little inspiration board…
I finally purchased the French shabby-chic bed of my dreams which has been on my wish list for quite a few years. I can’t wait for it to arrive and it will add the perfect finishing touch to my princess-inspired boudoir.
After an afternoon of de-cluttering, I decided to place my whimsical white canopy above my bed. I’ve had mine ever since I was a little girl and I love to bring it out during spring as it helps to transform my room into a princess sanctuary. You can add a string of fairy lights to your headboard, arrange your walls with beautiful photos in ornate frames of angels who inspire you like audrey and grace kelly and add tufted pillows to your bed.
Indulging in luxurious skincare and body care is a little moment of bliss I will always treasure. After my bubble bath, I love to use my favourite Dior products.
I begin by cleansing my skin with the Dior Hydra Life Micellar Milk cleanser which has a soft, creamy texture and softens the skin. I then follow up with the Dior Dreamskin 1-minute mask which has a gel-like consistency with a little shimmer too, for an added piece of princess sparkle.
I then change into my pink vintage nightdress and apply the Miss Dior Fresh Body Crème. This product is the pinnacle of luxe body care; encased in a beautiful glass jar you will find the delicately perfumed cream of your dreams. It has a light, yet nourishing texture which leaves the skin feeling as soft as a snowy swan. It also contains rose oil to help moisturise the skin.
Also, who can resist a box of pink champagne truffles? The Charbonnel et Walker ones are my favourite and they always arrived wrapped up with a pretty satin ribbon.
Scrapbooking is one of my favourite past times and I recently shared a twenty-twenty vision board on my channel.
In this video I speak in depth about my dreams and aspirations for the upcoming year.
It’s definitely not too late to make your vision board for the year and if you’re struggling to occupy your mind, I think this is one of the most therapeutic activities to do.
If you’re not interested in creating a vision board, you can also use this time to print out pictures from this year and previous years so that you can keep them all in one place.
I love to become immersed in the process of cutting, sticking and dressing up each page with bows, ribbons, pearls and other embellishments.
I adore Marie Antoinette and the other week I created my own tea-party inspired by my favourite queen. I arranged my dainty pink cupcake stand with french fancies and mini meringue tartlets – you can easily host your own afternoon tea party from home.
Although we can’t go to Ladurée stores, they are still continuing with their home delivery service.
I decided to order an assortment of my favourite flavours; rose, vanilla and strawberry candy which arrived in the pistachio green Incontournable gift box.
Macarons add a special moment of magic to the difficult days…
They also make me feel like I’m channelling my inner Blair Waldorf at home – who can forget that iconic bathtub scene?
P.S why not start using your fine pieces of china? It can make that daily cup of tea, just a little bit more special…(I adore my Royal Albert New Country Roses Pink teacup and saucer.)
I start each morning with ballet practice because I’m missing my weekly classes a lot.
Ballet helps me feel strong and elegant and I love to get dressed in my pink frilled leotard and shoes from Repetto. Kathryn Morgan’s ballet barres are my favourite.
Once you have adorned your princess sanctuary with a fairytale canopy, it is a lovely idea to snuggle up under a bundle of fluffy blankets with a warm drink.
Marshmallow hot chocolates are the epitome of cosy and I love to place mine in my favourite pink quilted Marie mug which comes with an adorable miniature spoon to help you scoop up those last few melted marshmallows. Whilst relaxing with a warm drink, I have been loving watching Disney Plus!
Fresh flowers add a vision of beauty to a difficult day and I couldn’t resist sharing this beautiful bouquet of pink roses, ranunculus and white lilies.
I also picked up the latest issue of Vanity Fair because I love to read magazines when I have free time…
How dreamy does Reese Witherspoon look in her light pink Giambattista Valli gown?
Peony season is now officially here! I have featured a bouquet I purchased last spring. They’re so dreamy and remind me of little scoops of strawberry ice-cream.
Baking brings me so much joy and since self-isolating, I’ve had seven cake orders which has helped keep me occupied. I recently shared a spring baking guide for Easter featuring lots of mini eggs!
One of my favourite bakes was the Victoria Sponge I was commissioned to make for someones birthday.
It was a last-minute order so I felt rather content with how it turned out. I decided to fill it with freshly whipped cream for a more indulgent taste.
Whether you’re an experienced baker or not, I think it’s a wonderful idea to practice the classics and challenge yourself too…
My dear friend Catherine and I both jumped on the banana loaf band-wagon! I couldn’t resist baking my own version.
If you would like to try Catherine’s recipe just click here and I also have printable of mine which you can save onto your phone.
If you want a challenge, I recommend the Love, Manuela recipe book.
A few months ago I re-created her mini Swedish princess cakes which remind me of little Marie Antoinette cakes.
The Swedish princess cake or Prinsesstårta is a traditional Swedish layer cake consisting of layers of sponge cake, jam, pastry cream and a thick-domed layer of whipped cream.
They can be a challenge to re-create but it so rewarding…
One of my other orders were a set of strawberries and cream cupcakes adorned with dainty sugar flowers and vanilla bean frosting ~ the perfect summery treat.
Curling up in my pink pom-pom socks with a fluffy blanket, a cup of tea and a book, is my idea of bliss… At the moment I’m immersed in the world of Little Women. However, one of my other favourite classics is A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
The (1995) film is one of my favourites and the story recounts the tale of a young girl named Sarah Crewe who lives life through her vivid imagination. Sarah is admitted to Miss Minchin’s boarding school in London. Upon arrival, Sarah appears to be a real-life princess; she is clothed in beautiful gowns, possesses gracious manners and is lavished with beautiful gifts from her father who is away in India. However, this is also a tale of hardship and I recommend it to any dreamers out there who prefer to live inside their own little world. P.S whilst reading your favourite classics, you can tie your hair with a soft satin ribbon to feel as though you have emerged from a period drama.
If you prefer a lighter read with beautiful illustrations, I highly recommend Megan Hess – she creates a vision of elegance and glamour which I could get lost in for hours… I adore her books on Paris, Coco Chanel and the French Fashion designers.
Transform into a princess by wearing your favourite dress – you don’t need to go all-out in your most beautiful ballgown, but I personally dislike loungewear/staying in my pyjamas. I love to feel put together and I do this by wearing pieces which allow me to feel polished and put together. My go-to is my pink bow dress from Ted Baker. I always feel like Audrey whenever I wear it…
Complete your princess look with a spritz of your signature scent! I recently shared a blog post discussing the new Miss Dior Roses n’ Roses perfume.
Whilst we’re at home and not expected to go out anywhere, perfume is a step that can be easily missed out of our routines. Nevertheless, I think spritzing yourself with your favourite perfume can make you feel wonderful.
Manicures are the perfect way to pamper yourself from home. I adore the Essie and Dior polishes as they leave my nails glistening with a glossy shine which mirrors the salon effect. The ‘Diorlisse Abricot Ridge Filler’ helps to nourish, whiten and strengthen the nails from damage. I have mine in the shade petal de rose which gives the nails a natural rose and apricot hue makes me feel like a whimsical winter fairy.
You can complete this lovely activity whilst watching a classic ballet performance. I recently purchased My First Ballet Collection DVD which features excerpts from some of my favourite performances.
Nevertheless, there are also so many full-length productions on Youtube – here are my playlists of performances and documentaries.
Gazing at dreamy haute couture collections makes my heart so happy. I often like to distract myself by watching my favourite Dior and Chanel shows
I recently published a blog post detailing all my favourite couture collections from the year so far.
Looking at the dreamy designs transports me to another world…
Although we can’t go out into public very often at the moment, it can be a lovely idea to spend a few quiet moments alone in nature.
I personally love to walk amongst the cherry blossom trees. They’re with us for such a short period of time so it’s important to appreciate them whilst we we can – seeing the delicate blossoms flutter and float to the ground is so therapeutic to me and I can’t help but be transported by their whimsical reverie.
Put on your prettiest pink dress and walk among the flowers like Briar Rose in a secret woodland… who knows, maybe you’ll find Prince Phillip nearby?
I would love to know how you have been pampering yourself recently.
I’m sending lots of love to you all,

This is so girly and cute! I love how you suggested to put up a canopy because sleeping underneath my light pink canopy makes me feel like a princess everyday. I’ll have to make that Victoria sponge cake too!
