“Special delivery” ~ Peggy Porschen’s little cupids have cast their arrows at the Belgravia parlour and created a flutter of pink which would make any angels blush… Surrounding the pastel pink doors is an enchanting array of cascading roses and a pretty pink post box waits to accept any last-minute love letter cookies to be delivered in time for February 14th…”
Dearest soft rose petals, I’m so happy to share with you the pictures I took on my visit to the Peggy Porschen Belgravia parlour in January. My heart was a flutter when I saw their Love Letters collection.
Love-hearts, pink, bows and all things romantic never fail to make me happy ~ the parlour was filled with fairytale wonder ~ dainty hearts hung from the ceiling, a grand bouquet of delicate blooms folded around the parlour with twinkling lights hidden inside and adorning the door was the dreamiest Valentine’s wreath…
This collection encapsulates all things sweet, soft and charming for any hopeless romantics out there…
“From flirty hearts and pink postboxes to classic flavours of strawberry & champagne, find the perfect way to send a pink dart of adoration to those deserving of a faithful heart this Valentine’s Day.“
Peggy’s always envision the most elegant, fantastical dreams…
Inside they still had a few wintry pieces on display; it was delightful to spot their signature pink and white candy-stripe boxes stacked and tied with soft pink bows…
…sweet sugar cookies were arranged in dainty baskets, floral garlands were nestled upon each wall and their shiny glass cabinets housed an array of scrumptious treats like stollen and jam hearts ♡
Unfortunately we were too early for the Valentine’s treats but since my visit I have gazed at the Love Letters range online and some of my favourite sweet treats are…
romantic rose cupcake ~ a light vanilla sponge infused with Marc De Champagne syrup, filled with a fruity strawberry jam and topped with a pink champagne cream cheese frosting, sugar rose and sprinkles.
love letter cookie ~ Vanilla biscuit is hand iced with an envelope design, hand made love heart seal and a timeless message of ‘Love’.
heart to heart cake ~ an ombre pink & ivory buttercream creates an eye-catching backdrop to a ‘shout it from the rooftops’ fiesta of sprinkles and sugar hearts.
Instead we decided to select some treats from their winter menu…
I shared the Jolly Gingerbread cupcake with Victoria ~ it consists of a warming cinnamon and ginger sponge, a swirl of vanilla buttercream which was decorated with a fondant snowman, a snowflakes and sprinkles which we had with a pot of their Classic Chelsea Rose tea!
My mother selected the Vanilla Cloud cake ~ a wonderfully fluffy vanilla chiffon cake which is layered with Italian meringue buttercream and finished with a dainty macaron…
Victoria’s mother chose the Playful Polar Bear cupcake which is the cutest! Made with a chocolate chip filling and topped with peppermint frosting, it is the perfect wintry treat.
I love the fact that every detail is thought of at Peggy’s ~ each cappuccino and latte is finished with a chocolate snowflake…
I’d love to know what your favourite sweet treat is and whether you’re planning on baking anything special on Valentine’s Day?
I’m sending lots of love to you all,
