The glistening gift-wrap, the sheen of the silky soft satin ribbons and the enchantment you experience whilst opening a gift from someone special is indescribable… ♡
I celebrated by 22nd birthday in April and published a blog post detailing the princess activities I got up to.
After receiving a few requests, I have finally decided to share some of the dainty gifts I received on this special day.
a kind reminder ~ this post was highly requested by quite a few people and many of the items I’m sharing I purchased myself. I do not wish for this to appear negatively in any way…
I know that many of you love pretty, pink girly items so I thought you would enjoy reading this ♡
This collection of pieces are from brands such as Ted Baker, Megan Hess, Dior, Tiffany and Co & many more…
I hope you’re all staying safe at the moment – I’ve just finished work at the primary school for the summer holidays so I will have more time to create girly content for you all!
I’m also going to spend time baking sweet treats, practicing ballet, working on my sewing projects, writings letters to my angels, reading classic literature and gardening… ♡
As many of you know, I love all things pretty and pink ~ they bring me a little bit of joy in difficult times and I know that many of you can relate with this.
I would love to hear in the comments what you have been treating yourself to recently? Also, please let me know if you have any plans for the summer!
Aside from what I previously mentioned, I’m planning on going for afternoon tea at the Lanesborough hotel in August.
We originally made a reservation for my 22nd birthday in April but it had to be postponed due to the virus…
Nevertheless, we were able to re-book for the summer and I can’t wait to go.
The interiors look like something from Versailles and I can’t wait to indulge in dainty delicacies like the ones featured on this Claris the Mouse silk scarf…
I have wrapped up all the elegant items with a sparkly pink bow for you to enjoy! maybe this could inspire your summer wish lists…
I shall begin with my favourite gift of all… I have dreamt about owning a Kitchenaid mixer for many years and as an avid baker, I have found that my small, hand-held mixer wasn’t working its best anymore. My father surprised me with the mixer of my dreams and I couldn’t be more grateful. Originally I was hoping for the classic baby pink mixer. Nevertheless, this shade is very rare and difficult to find in the UK! So I decided to go for the pink silk mixer. I have named her Petal and she works like a dream… So far I have used her to bake cupcakes and sugar cookies and she mixes everything so effortlessly. I’m going to write a full review on her soon but if you are unsure about investing in one, I can guarantee that it is worth every penny! I’m going to treasure her for many years to come and I adore how she adds a pastel, retro touch to the kitchen. Here I have linked a similar mixer in a matte pink shade.
Kate Spade is one of my favourite brands for feminine fashion; I often find it difficult to find brands which replicate the elegance and grace I hope to achieve in my looks. The Ma Cherie bow-embellished tweed coat is so timeless and I can see myself keeping it in my collection for many years. The coat is actually from Kate Spade’s old season but I managed to find it pre-loved – you may have already seen it featured in my Audrey Hepburn Lookbook. The coat consists of an elegant baby pink tweed material, adorned with statement buttons and the chicest black velvet bow. (P.S I have an entire blog post dedicated to my feminine fashion tips)
I recently treated myself to the Disco Pansy Pearl ring which was in their 40% off sale – the ring has a rose plated metal band which is adorned with a delicate pansy flower made from glass stone and is finished with mother of pearl.
“in bloom: the pieces in our disco pansy collection feature their namesake blossoms, rendered in mother of pearl, gold, and stones, for a look that’s both sparkly and chic.“
My heart was so smitten with the Skinnydip x Disney collection and I was overjoyed when I spotted the Marie.
The first item I selected was the sweetest Marie phone case. It has a sparkly glitter design adorned with four adorable depictions of madame Marie in her sassiest poses! trés chic…
To match the case, I picked up the cosy Marie jumper in my signature pastel pink shade – how adorable does Marie look?
I will always admire Grace Kelly for her refined elegance, class and style. Films such as High Society and The Swan are so transportive – I use them as sources of inspiration; not only for outfits but also how to carry myself. A few months ago I was lucky to win my darling friend Jade’s giveaway collaboration with Casetify!
Casetify* is an online shop which allows you design and customise your very own phone case. The possibilities are endless and you can either select a design of theirs or add photos of your own. I decided to select one of my favourite photographs of Grace Kelly so that when I gaze at my phone I have a constant image of inspiration.
Bow capes are my new favourite accessory and when I saw that this beautiful snowy white cape was on sale, I couldn’t resist making a purchase! Whenever I wear one, I feel like an Old Hollywood starlet and I think they can add an extra piece of glamour to your outfit.
As a birthday gift to myself from the Dior counter in Harvey Nichols. Upon approaching the Dior counter, I spotted their dreamy limited-edition gift-boxes for Mother’s Day and fell in love! I adore the attention to detail which Dior dedicate to their packaging. It makes shopping with them so much more special!
The box features a whimsical sprinkling of gold dust that shimmers with pink accents and is finished with a glittering ribbon. I saved this joy of unboxing my perfume so that I could experience it fully and immerse myself in the moment.
“Miss Dior is a hymn to love, emblematic of Dior femininity with a Couture spirit. A hand-crafted trail of scent with a modern, rebellious and elegant personality.” The Roses n’ Roses perfume resembles a delicate spring bouquet; a sweet harmony of Grasse and damascus rose petals, alongside notes of Italian mandarin, bergamot and geranium… The essence of grasse and damascus rose petals sweeps us away to an idyllic field of flowers and provide a freshness of an armful of petals. Italian mandarin, bergamot and geranium add the potent citrus notes – and allow the fragrance to sparkle. Finally the arrangement of white musk brightens the composition and sets the heart of roses ringing infinitely.
Ted Baker is one of my favourite brands for darling dresses. In April, they launched a site-wide sale with up to 50% off on everything!
They also had an extra discount on the outlet and I finally decided to purchase the Kalla dress. Exquisitely patterned and oh-so-elegant, Ted’s KALLA dress is ideal for special occasions. The floral Elegant print lends a subtle flourish, while the full, textured skirt and subtle pleats offer polished perfection.
They even have a matching dress coat which is on my wish list too. I think it would be a lovely piece to wear when I go to the Lanesborough hotel for the Peggy Porschen afternoon tea.
April was my birthday month so I decided to finally to complete my pink Tiffany heart tag collection by treating myself to the necklace which matches my bead bracelet.
Tiffany & Co is a brand that places an extra piece of attention on how their gifts are presented.
Opening a Tiffany’s box is something special – as you unwrap the soft white ribbon your heart quickens and inside the little blue pouch sits the jewels of your dreams…
The Return to Tiffany mini double heart tag pendant necklace has been on my wish list for quite a few years. The design is inspired by the iconic key ring first introduced in 1969 – Return to Tiffany is a classic reinvented.
A delicate duo of engraved tags on a simple link chain exudes sophistication and elegance.
I’m also heart-eyed over the Ziegfeld collection pearl bracelet.
Rachel Parcell is one of my favourite bloggers for style inspiration and my heart has been smitten with her clothing brand for quite some time. When I saw that some of the pieces from her spring collection were on sale, I decided to finally purchase something! I first saw the Tiered Ruffle Long Sleeve Lace Midi Dress in her spring campaign and fell in love! It reminds me so much of princess Aurora…
The dainty and elegant aesthetic of the piece is replicated through the layers of lace and ruffles; it would be the perfect dress to wear for an afternoon tea party. I really want to style it up with a pretty ribbon-tie sun hat for the dreamiest summer look.
The next new piece in my wardrobe is the dress of my dreams. Needle and Thread would have to be my favourite clothing brand (yes, even before Ted Baker!) Nevertheless, due to the price tag, I have only ever purchased one piece before…
Whenever they launch a new collection of darling dresses, I always tell myself I’ll make a purchase but I never do!
I first spotted the Anya dress last spring and I instantly fell in love. Later in the year I saw my favourite fashion illustrator, Megan Hess, styling it at one of her events and I knew I had to have it.
Gazing at this gorgeous gown makes my pretty pink heart flutter…
It is the epitome of elegance and this month I finally decided to go for it and splurge. Megan wears the maxi length and although it looks heavenly on her, maxi dresses are not my typical style so I decided to purchase the mini version.
I wanted to invest in something I could keep in my wardrobe for years to come and I have been trying only purchase pieces which I love – I think it’s so important to avoid trends and purchase quality clothing. My favourite feminine brands for exquisite quality are… Ted Baker, Gal Meets Glam, Rachel Parcell, Needle and Thread, Kate Spade.
The Anya dress is the material embodiment of the sugar plum fairy – it has an all over frill trim, long billowing sleeves which cinch in at the wrists for a feminine flair, all over-sequinned embellishments…. Once we’re out of lockdown, I’m going to book tickets to see the Royal Ballets production of the Nutcracker at Christmas!
Megan Hess is one of my main inspirations and I adore her artwork.
When I saw that her shop was having a sale, I couldn’t resist picking up a few items which were on my wish list.
Megan’s story book character, Claris the Chicest Mouse in Paris, is too cute and I thought I’d pick up a few of the items from her Claris collection.
I chose two silk scarves – the first: frames of paris , which features lovely framed illustrations of Claris.
The second: the sweetest treats, which features the parisian treats of my dreams macarons, éclairs and soufflé.
I think that silk scarves are the perfect addition to a simple outfit…
They are both 100% silk and you can wear them tied around your neck or you could attach it to your handbag for a chic finishing touch.
Both scarves arrived inside the prettiest pink boxes with bespoke Megan Hess labels.
How darling are they? the ribbons are even embossed with a golden foil Claris the Mouse design.
I also purchased a Claris the Mouse sketchbook which I shall use to sketch the dresses and skirts I’m planning on sewing.
The sketchbook arrived wrapped up in a satin ribbon too and I just adore the image of Claris on the cover! She is the sweetest.
How adorable is the pink Claris tissue paper and gold embossed Claris ribbon which came with the sketchbook?
Both my purchases arrived with free Megan Hess prints which I can’t wait to frame. It depicts one of Megan’s elegant fashion girls in a pink Giambattista Valli dress.
When Megan Hess launched her very own range of bespoke candles, I completely fell in love… I picked up the Tickled Pink candle in the sale which is utterly dreamy!
Tickled Pink marries notes of rose, geranium and peony with hints of delicate jasmine. This fragrance is created from the exquisite rose gardens of Grasse, creating a romantic aroma…
Each vessel is made with the finest French porcelain in Monaco, adorned with Megan’s dreamiest designs. I’m also heart-eyed over… spoilt rotten and head-over-heels.
‘She floated through the field of blooms, a luxurious scent followed her. The fragrant countryside of Grasse awash with sweet-smelling blossoms. Roses as far as the eye could see, as beautiful as the rose coloured gown that adorned her. ‘
Ballet Slippers is my favourite Essie polish and when I spotted my angel Catherine sharing the limited edition packaging, I immediately added it to my shopping basket.
‘Ballet Slippers’ is not only a royal favourite but the stunning milky pink shade glistens like a pair of pink pointe shoes!
The bottle is embossed with a silver ballet shoes illustration which is just too cute. Although the finish is rather sheer, it would be the dreamiest base for a French manicure.
I have been building up my collection of Royal Albert New Country Roses Pink tea-ware over the past year or so; it is my favourite design from Royal Albert and I recently added their tea pot to my collection. I also have the matching tea plate, dinner plate, tea cup and saucer. They are the perfect pieces for a regal afternoon tea-party.
“Crafted to superior quality from fine bone china, this compilation of pieces is vibrant and vivacious, featuring a gorgeous vintage pattern in a soft brushed finish. A charmingly fashioned afternoon tea set, classic forms meet intricate detailing with vibrant colours and a lustrous gold rim.”
Dior skincare is my favourite; it is something so luxurious which I can’t miss from my routine.
A few months ago I decided to purchase the Dreamskin Capture Totale Advanced Serum,
When I saw that Escentual had launched 25% off, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to finally pick it up. The Dreamskin Advanced range is targeted to restore perfect and radiant skin.
The details…
“The fresh and ultra-sensory formula of Capture Dreamskin Care & Perfect creates a soft-focus effect, while caring for the skin with every application. This beneficial texture has a natural, velvety and luminous finish.
The skin-perfecting formula is enriched with nourishing shea butter and pure Alp water, rich in minerals and vitamin B3, that promotes the skin’s natural cell renewal.”
My heart is forever smitten with anything fairytale inspired and I was so pleased to find the hand-held princess mirror of dreams.
I purchased the mirror from my friend Jade’s beautiful shop, Pearl and Ivory. The mirror has an elegant ornate design with dainty pink rose buds -~ I can’t wait to place it on my vanity table.
The Jouer Blushing Bouquet blush duo is the perfect palette for summer…
I chose the shade Coquette, which has a rosy hue and hints of baby pink – the packaging is a true delight with a gold, floral embossed design.
I hope you have enjoyed this post darlings. I will also share with you below where you can shop any of the items featured in the post, just in case you would like to treat yourself.
I’m sending lots of love to you all,
