Hello my sweet peonies! I feel ever so happy to share something myself, and my best friend Victoria have been working on over the last few months. Whilst having a little catch-up, we were trying to think of a way in which we could create a space on the internet where we can discuss all things girly, pink and princessy and we thought, why not make a Podcast? and that is how the Princess Tea-Party Podcast was born.
It is our aim to to create a little place where you can feel less alone – our topics will range from ballet, fashion, baking and so much more and for this months topic we decided to discuss the Birmingham Royal Ballet’s covid-safe performance of the Nutcracker. As many of you will already be aware, twenty-twenty one has been a challenging year for the arts and it is ever so important for us to support them in any way we can – whether thats by watching a live stream performance or booking a full-length screening online! Myself and Victoria were so upset to hear that the performance of the Royal Ballet’s Nutcracker had been cancelled but it was a silver-lining to see the Birmingham Royal Ballet offer an exclusive look at their recent performance of the well-loved ballet for just four days up to Christmas eve! Based on Sir Peter Wright’s beloved production from the 90s, The Nutcracker is a Christmas treat for all! Myself and Victoria go in-depth into our thoughts on the performance, costumes, casting, set design and so much more! We know that many of you adore ballet as much as us so we thought it would be a lovely way to bring a little piece of magic to you in the New Year.
Our aim is to publish a new podcast each month where we will focus on a particular topic of interest – this will not always be ballet but may branch into fashion, baking, literature or any other cultural topic which catches our eye!
We want to make this a relaxing and delightful experience that is accessible to all, whether you have an account or not so we decided to upload it on our Youtube channels.
