Dear sweet roses, I’m very pleased to share with you a special project I’ve been working on for quite a while.
As some of you may know, I adore reading and anything book-related. Consequently, I decided to create a little space where I can share the pieces of literature I treasure and discuss any new books on my bookshelf.
My new account on Instagram (in addition to my main account) is called thestudyingprincess. This page will consist of the prettiest pieces of literature and will be part of my new series: Sophie’s Princess Library.
Each month I’m going to update you on the latest additions to my princess library.
I have more time to post this summer but updates may become less frequent during late September and early October because I will be back at university studying my second year of English literature. Nevertheless, I’m hoping to keep my book page updated with study photos and motivation to inspire you.
My posts will function as a little diary where I share all things book-related. I will also use my blog as a place to discuss the books I’ve been loving lately.
There’s also a new section on my loves page where you can shop my favourite editions of classic literature. In today’s post I’m going to share a beautiful new book which I have recently added to my collection…
Jane Austen will forever be one of my favourite authors and although Emma is my favourite Austen novel, Pride and Prejudice has a special place in my heart.
I decided to purchase a new edition which has the sweetest treats hidden inside…
I first spotted the Book-to-table edition of Pride and Prejudice on Hayley Solano’s Instagram and instantly fell in love with the concept.
The book takes a twist on a classic by incorporating delightful recipes from Martha Stewart – there are so many sweet treats to indulge in! This would be a lovely book to read in a book club because each time you discuss a new chapter, someone could bake a recipe from them book!
I spotted an online trend where people were sharing their animated twin and I thought I would create my own inspired by Belle from Beauty and the Beast. In the photos below I have featured the vintage handheld mirror from my friend Jade’s shop Pearl and Ivory. It reminds me so much of Belle’s enchanted mirror…
Belle has always been a fictional character I admire for her strong sense of self, compassion and love of books!
I have also created my own little reading list where you can check off the classic books you have read – please remember to share them on your stories and tag me!
I love losing myself within the pages of far-flung realms recounting tales of wonder and magic…
Although I adore classic literature from writers such as the Brontë’s and Jane Austen, I also love children’s literature, fairytales and Medieval/Renaissance literature.
I would love to hear in the comments what you are currently reading and also, your thoughts on more book-related content
I’m sending lots of love to you all,

I am so excited for this new addition to your blog sweet angel ! I love literature & reading and cannot wait for posts for all things bookish and lovely ♡ Furthermore, I’m looking forward to using your book list to help myself get back into reading again ♡ At the moment I am currently reading ‘Becoming’ by Michelle Obama and it is a wonderful Memoir that shows her courageous empowerment as being the First Lady, particularly the First Black Lady of the United States. She inspires readers the power that women hold and their ability to achieve their goals in life. Equality and the notion of feminism is truly uplifting in this book and definitely one I recommend to everyone ♡ I’m so incredibly proud and excited for you angel Sophie! Belle would be immensely proud of you, a true princess you are ♡
