Hoppy Easter my darlings! I just adore this time of year, particularly because of the blooming of the cherry blossoms, the hopping of little bunnies, squidgy hot cross buns and of course… the scent of mini eggs!
As you probably already know, cookies and cupcakes are my favourite treats to bake and so I thought I would share with you how to decorate your very own set of Easter sugar cookies and a set of mini egg cupcakes and fondant bunny embossed cupcakes!
The first set of treats are my signature vanilla sugar cookies but with a Easter-themed twist, they’re all bunny shaped! You can follow my usual recipe but for an update just use your bunny or egg cookie cutters!
There are so many ways to decorate them and its really up to you, I love use a pink royal icing and keep the design simple but you can add as much detail as you wish.
The second set are the most adorable Easter bunny fondant embossed cupcakes! All you will need for this is to follow my simple vanilla cupcake and frosting recipe but purchase a fondant mould so that you can replicate the design!
I have also made a set which is topped with my favourite Easter treats – mini eggs! They’re utterly delightful and I’m sure so many of you love them too.
